Mapping the 60s

Guided Tour in English | Mapping the 60s

The exhibition Mapping the 60s is based on the thought that substantial sociopolitical movements of the twenty-first century have their roots in the 1960s. Black Lives Matter and #MeToo, for example, have built on the anti-racist and feminist upheavals of yesteryear—as have current debates on war, mass media and mechanization, consumerism, and capitalism.

Visit the exhibition as part of an overview tour with our art education team!

Participation in the tour is free, a valid admission ticket to the museum or annual pass is required. Reserve your spot now!
Please note: The tour will be held in English.

Dates

  • Saturday, February 8, 2 pm

The exhibition Mapping the 60s on level -4 includes artworks that show explicit depictions of physicality and violence. These works were created as a reaction to social norms and taboos of the 1960s.

We therefore ask you to consider for yourself whether a visit to this section of the exhibition is suitable for you and your accompanied visitor.

We do not recommend access to this area for children under the age of 14. Young visitors aged 14 and over should only visit the relevant exhibition areas when accompanied by an adult. It is recommended that you view the exhibition alone before visiting together.
