Hans Schabus
My name is Hans Schabus and I was invited by Matthias Michalka to make a program for one evening. I will be showing a selection of my videos and films that were originally conceived for a non-cinema environment; with Super 8, 16mm, miniDV, BetaSP, DigiBeta, HDV, HDCAM, XDCAM HD, XDCAM EX, Red One, Prores 422; to be shown on monitors and flat screens or projected on walls, curtains, fabrics or doors, in brightly-lit, shadowed or darkened rooms but also in the open air; as part of an exhibition, presentation or simply as documentation; in one or multi-channel versions in loops or with a beginning and an end. The cinema as a sort of base line of encounter and chronological order. A horizon without a view, a cross-section.
