Prosperous Poison
On the Feminist Appropriation of the Austrian Unconscious
Carte blanche for students in the Master in Critical Studies at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. From September 10, 2015, mumok will be devoting two levels to its collection of work since 1945. Five themes—Taking Pictures of the Boys, Imitating the Imitations of the Imitators, Love, Taking Care: Capitalistic Yoga and Anger Issues, and Schlachten Material Prothesen—will together form a visual puzzle of overlapping exhibitions that will provocatively highlight and disperse the themes inherent within the mumok collection.
Curated by students and teachers in the Master in Critical Studies at Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien: Mirela Baciak, Maren Blume, Diedrich Diederichsen, Marius Ertelt, Jannik Franzen, Leander Gussmann, Ipek Hamzaoglu, Tatiana Kai-Browne, Ruth Lang, Sarah Lehnerer, Dominik Mayer, Linnéa Meiners, Inka Meissner, Natalie Ofenböck, Matteo Patti, Florian Pochlatko, Constanze Ruhm, Juliane Saupe, Flora Schausberger, Angela Strohberger, Alain Volpe, Sara Wahl, Michael Wonnerth-Magnusson
