Wanda lives and works near Düsseldorf. After training as a stonemason, she studied sculpture at the Düsseldorf Academy of Arts under Prof. Hubert Kiecol. In her studio, ceramics are created that function as objects, sculptures, and canvases, and can often also be used as functional ceramics. The surfaces express an intuitive and experimental process in which different color bodies are played with. The glazing of the works becomes a central element of the ceramics, giving them a painterly quality, where the ceramic itself becomes a medium for color, texture, and form. Her approach is strongly guided by intuition; often, the material and colors direct the process. This results in vibrant forms and surfaces, shaped by both craftsmanship and artistic experimentation
