mumok perspectives
mumok perspectives is a new participatory digital programme accompanying the exhibitions at mumok and expands the communication spaces of a many-voiced mediation practice.
Leaving behind the direct mediation between visitors and the works, mumok perspectives provides you with different voices. Just as the artworks are lively and diverse, so are the recorded voices in your ear, with which you wander privately through the exhibition. Never intended as referential explanations, they are designed to deepen your engagement with the content of the exhibition in a human way. The exhibition space is a social interaction space that should not be dominated by a single point of view. Far removed from the artificial dichotomy of explaining and understanding, visitors should no longer be alone, but in a sense come into contact with new friends through the artworks. Audibly and visually, we broaden the view of our perspectives on the living history inherent in each work.
