A series of seven black and white photographs is designed like a diary. "Pseudo diary" shows a photograph of Tokyo, a view from inside a taxi, and five interiors with a young woman: in one she leans lasciviously against a bed, pensively smoking a cigarette. We see her standing in a room with her arms crossed, lost in thought, we see her washing her vulva, shaking her hair, or crouching on the floor. They are stark moments of female loneliness in an oppressively erotic atmosphere. The photographic gaze fragments the exposed body - and yet arouses an embarrassed sensuality. The dates noted on the prints give the diary a documentary air and confront the beholder with his or her own voyeuristic gaze on private intimacy.
