with Rozina Pátkai and Negin Rezaie in cooperation with Heidrun Schulze
How to See Sound led by Rozina Pátkai and Negin Rezaie, is a performative workshop tailored for adults as part of the exhibition Liliane Lijn. Arise Alive. The workshop encompasses a guided tour of the exhibition and an immersive workshop featuring poetic, instrumental, performative, and installation activities.
Participants are invited to explore the captivating convergence of art, technology, and language embodied in Lijn's renowned Poem Machines. Through hands-on engagement, they will embark on creating their own kinetic art pieces inspired by Lijn's innovative techniques.
Throughout the workshop, participants will learn about the fundamentals of kinetic sculpture, delve into how motion intersects with text, and experiment with visual poetry's transformation through movement and visual dynamics.
The objective is to equip participants with practical skills in manipulating materials and motion to produce art that vividly visualizes and embodies textual expression.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have crafted their own Poem Machine, gaining not only a deeper understanding of Lijn's artistry but also hands-on proficiency in crafting kinetic sculptures.
This experience welcomes art enthusiasts of all levels, irrespective of prior artistic experience and knowledge, fostering an inclusive space for those intrigued by contemporary art practices and Lijn's groundbreaking contributions.
