Discover the avant-garde of the 1960s and 1970s in the collection of Peter and Irene Ludwig! In addition to masterpieces of classical modernism, the Ludwig Collection contains key works of Pop Art, Nouveau Réalisme, Fluxus, Conceptual Art, Post Minimal and Arte Povera - from Claes Oldenburg's Mouse Museum to Andy Warhol's Orange Car Crash and Robert Indiana's Love Rising - Black and White Love. For Martin Luther King. Other highlights by John Chamberlain, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein and Tom Wesselman are also part of the collection. Everyday objects, media icons and advertising culture were used here to blur the boundaries between art and mass culture.
