mumok editions
Ute Müller, the winner of the Kapsch Contemporary Art Prize 2018, has created a 3D-printed object made of plastic as part of her solo exhibition. Titled Ding, the artwork consists of two interlocking, rotatable parts, allowing it to be playfully altered in its form. This provides an active and physically engaging dimension to the art experience. Derived from a larger sculpture made of papier-mâché, Ding translates it into a new form and materiality through cutting-edge technology.
Kapsch Group has provided mumok with 50 objects, and the proceeds from the sales will benefit the open art workshop WeltBilder at mumok.
