The photographic work reflects relations between a second-generation migrant and her mother, and a notion of home that has become doubtful. “La maison de ma mère” is an attempt to approach a picture of “home” that seems possible only in fragments. In this piece, Zineb Sedira, who in other works has dealt directly with the Franco-Algerian war and its consequences, focuses attention on aesthetic and emotional aspects of the same story.
