In his video, Rashid Masharawi plays a director who as part of a casting asks the actors to act as somebody waiting. The film is to be about waiting, and the actors approach the abstractness of this issue in various ways. Often they feign boredom or nervousness, instead of simply waiting, or they request instructions from the director. They thus act out in different circumstances nothing else but the everyday “practice” of waiting that the Palestinian people sees itself subjected to, or the despairing attempts to bring this waiting to an end in one way or the other.
